Teacher of Technology

Required from September 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter)

This is a permanent full-time position although consideration will be given to suitably qualified candidates wishing to work part-time

Salary: Main/Upper Teaching Scale

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Technology who will lead by example and support the department in achieving its ambitious targets. We encourage applications from newly qualified teachers or those with more experience who feel they can add value to an already highly-effective department and prosper in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Successful candidates must:

• Be flexible and a good team player
• Be a teacher or NQT of Technology, preferably with a specialism in product design, with consistently ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ classroom practice
• A passionate advocate of this subject who contributes effectively to departmental and whole school improvement.
• Able to teach across the full age and ability range at age 11-18.
• Eager to become a supportive Form Tutor.
• Able and willing to make a full contribution to the life of the school.
• Have high expectations of themselves and others
• Be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills

ALN Coordinator – Required from September 2026

This is a permanent, full time post

Salary : Leadership Scale : L10-14

Closing Date: Monday 1^st June

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated ALN Coordinator. As a member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing a whole school strategy for students with additional learning needs.  They will provide professional guidance in the area of ALN in order to secure improved standards of achievement for all pupils and they will ensure student learning needs are addressed in the most effective way through liaison with outside agencies, departmental staff and teaching assistants.

Primarily, the successful candidate will share the values, vision and ethos of Ysgol Aberconwy, where we work together to create an inclusive, happy, dynamic learning community that inspires, supports and challenges everyone.  You will share our core values of resilience, pride, respect, positivity and commitment.

Consequently the Governing body is looking to appoint a dynamic leader who:
