Squad Selection for Jaxen

Congratulations to Jaxen in year 7 who has been selected for the Football Association Wales (FAW) Regional Development Squad. The squad is made up of a mix of players from North and South Wales, who were all born in 2011 and play for professional football club academies.

Jaxen began playing football at Penrhyn Bay Football Club and Llandudno Football Club’s Academy before joining Wrexham Association Football Club and being selected for the elite professional Academy at Crewe Alexandra.

Now chosen to represent North Wales in the FAW Regional Development Squad, Jaxen joined the North/South mixed squad to play in their first match this week, a game that the FAW considers part of their “pathway” to the full national squad. As well as playing in additional matches, Jaxen will attend a number of two day training camps at the FAW North Wales Head Quarters, at Colliers Park near Wrexham. 

The squad will continue to have matches and attend camps this season and into the next 24/25 season which will then culminate in July 2025 with the “Cymru Cup” tournament, with North Wales competing against South Wales! The FAW will then select their full Under 15’s Welsh national squad.
