Intergenerational Art

Seven year 11, GCSE Health and Social Care and Childcare students had a fantastic time at an intergenerational art activity run by the Conwy Well-being Team.

The activity took place over two hours at the Conwy Culture Centre where each student was paired with an older adult. They then discovered what they could about each other through conversation, and then used these facts to make some wonderful pieces of art based on their knowledge of the other person.

Teacher Myfanwy Wilson said, “I can’t express how proud and impressed I was with our young people today. The older adults said such wonderful things about them. The girls were patient, courteous, and polite. They were a real credit to the school in every way. We had a really wonderful morning!”
