Sponsored Walk for Ukraine

On the first day of the Easter Holidays, an intrepid group from year 7 got up early whilst all their friends were sleeping off the efforts of another long term, ready to take on a 10 mile challenge to raise money for the people of Ukraine.

They had hoped to attempt Snowdon, but with snow threatening on the tops, they went for a circuit around Llyn Crafnant, Llyn Geirionydd, Llyn Bychan and Nant y Geuallt instead.

The weather gave them four seasons in one day, ranging from hail storms to glorious sunshine, but the group were up beat throughout and completed the circuit in about 6 ½ hours, enjoying some beautiful views over Conwy valley and Snowdon itself along the way.

The group will be collecting their sponsorship money after the Easter holiday – if you would like to donate you can still do so through the School Gateway app (‘Ukraine Appeal’) or by looking out for future events throughout next term.
