{"id":3957,"date":"2022-07-14T12:26:29","date_gmt":"2022-07-14T11:26:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aberconwy.conwy.sch.uk\/?p=3957"},"modified":"2022-07-15T10:45:53","modified_gmt":"2022-07-15T09:45:53","slug":"dont-mind-the-weeds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aberconwy.conwy.sch.uk\/en_gb\/2022\/07\/14\/dont-mind-the-weeds\/","title":{"rendered":"Don&#8217;t Mind the Weeds"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Five students have been working afterschool with local ceramic artist Joanna Duncalf on the theme &#8216;Don&#8217;t mind the weeds we feed the bees.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students,&nbsp;Aleena, Olivia, Erin-Mae, Ivan, and Georgie from year 8,&nbsp;took part in a 10-week wellbeing workshop on a Tuesday evening where they developed their initial ideas and designs before starting their compositions on a 30cm square clay tile.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students rolled out the clay and transferred their designs on to it, adding depth and intricacy by layering on more clay and scribing into it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beautiful as the designs are already, the students plan to add colour to their tiles using coloured glazes.
