We would like to congratulate year 9 student Maddison who has recently gained a Royal International Horse Show<\/em> Qualification with her pony named Hollyland Lion in Winter<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maddison has qualified\u00a0with her pony also known as\u00a0‘Bertie’,\u00a0in the 143cm Show Hunter Pony section for the prestigious Royal International Horse Show<\/em> held in Hickstead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each year 1000’s of children and adults compete in a variety of equestrian disciplines to qualify for this show but on average only 20 in each section achieve this. This is a fantastic achievement not only for Madison but also her pony who is only 5 years old, which is incredibly young to be competing at this level. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maddison and Bertie are trained principally by her parents who are both renowned equestrians.\u00a0She has competed Nationally across the UK since 2014 and\u00a0has previously\u00a0won the Lead Rein Pony of Hunter Type section at the\u00a0Royal International Horse Show<\/em> in 2015, when she was\u00a0only\u00a07\u00a0years old!\u00a0She\u00a0has gone on to achieve\u00a0numerous\u00a0firsts and champions at horse shows across the UK since then. Only in October last year, Maddison and\u00a0Bertie\u00a0finished 10th at The Horse of the Year Show 2021<\/em> held at the NEC in Birmingham.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maddison is due to start her qualification campaign for this year’s Horse of the Year Show<\/em> in the same sections from June. Qualifiers are being held across the whole of the UK, which means a lot of traveling and early mornings! We wish both Maddison and Bertie the best of luck!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
