A group of Year 9 students with an interest in animal care, environmental science, and habitat conservation recently attended an inspiring careers workshop at the beautiful Plas Tan y Bwlch in Maentwrog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event provided students with a valuable opportunity to learn about a variety of environmental projects and the organisations working to protect Wales\u2019 natural landscapes and wildlife. Throughout the day, students gained insight into National Trust conservation initiatives, river management and restoration projects led by the River Trust, and the important work of the Wales Beaver Project in supporting biodiversity and ecosystem recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through a range of engaging activities and presentations from industry professionals, students discovered how these organisations are helping to conserve and restore habitats across North Wales. They also learned about the diverse career pathways available within the environmental and conservation sectors, including opportunities in wildlife management, ecology, environmental education, and countryside conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop was an excellent opportunity for students to develop their knowledge, ask questions, and gain first-hand insight into careers dedicated to protecting the natural environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
