We are delighted to announce that our school has been awarded a Bronze UK Feminista Action Award, recognising our commitment to promoting gender equality and tackling sexism within our school community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award was achieved through the dedication and hard work of Miss Fox, who led the application as part of our ongoing efforts to create a more inclusive and equitable environment for all students. As part of the celebrations, Year 12 students Lucy and Milla accompanied Miss Fox to a prestigious awards ceremony held at the Houses of Parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award was presented by Helen Hayes alongside Nina Humphries, Director of UK Feminista. The event brought together schools and colleges from across the country that have demonstrated a commitment to advancing gender equality in education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guests also heard inspiring speeches from a range of speakers, including author and educator Matt Pinkett and award-winning children’s author Onjali Q. Ra\u00faf, who spoke about the importance of creating safe, respectful and inclusive environments for young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UK Feminista Action Award Scheme recognises schools and colleges that are taking meaningful action to prevent sexism and sexual harassment through a whole-school approach. Achieving this Bronze Award is a significant milestone and reflects the positive work taking place across our school community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and would like to thank everyone who has contributed to making our school a place where equality, respect and inclusion are at the heart of what we do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Bronze UK Feminista Action Award will soon take pride of place, framed and displayed next to Reception, where it can serve as a reminder of our commitment to continuing this important work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations to Miss Fox, Lucy and Milla on representing the school so brilliantly at this special event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
