Our Easter 2026 school ski trip to Bad Kleinkirchheim, Austria, was an outstanding success and will be remembered as one of the highlights of the school year. Combining excellent skiing conditions, smooth organisation, and the wonderfully warm hospitality of Gasthof Thunderhof, the trip offered students an unforgettable week of challenge, achievement, and fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the very first day on the slopes, it was clear that Bad Kleinkirchheim was the perfect destination for our group. The resort offered a wide variety of beautifully maintained slopes that catered brilliantly for all abilities. Beginners quickly developed confidence under the guidance of patient and encouraging instructors, while more experienced skiers had the opportunity to challenge themselves on exciting red and black runs. The resort\u2019s safe and well-organised environment, combined with slopes that never felt overcrowded, allowed pupils to make excellent progress throughout the week. It was fantastic to see their confidence and skill grow each day as they embraced new challenges and celebrated personal achievements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our stay at Gasthof Thunderhof made the experience even more special. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and kindness, creating a true home-from-home atmosphere. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited to our school group, giving everyone a welcoming place to relax after a full day on the mountain. Mealtimes were a particular highlight, with hearty Austrian dishes that kept everyone well fuelled and ready for the day ahead. The communal spaces also gave students the chance to unwind together, strengthening friendships and allowing them to reflect on the day\u2019s successes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trip was about far more than just skiing. Each evening brought new opportunities for fun and laughter, whether through games, swimming sessions, or the ever-popular bum boarding. These activities added variety to the week and helped create lasting memories, while also bringing the group closer together. The atmosphere throughout the trip was fantastic, with students constantly supporting one another, celebrating each other\u2019s achievements, and showing resilience whenever faced with new challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the end of the week, every student had achieved something to be proud of. They returned home not only with improved skiing ability, but also with greater independence, stronger friendships, and a real sense of accomplishment. The trip was everything a school ski experience should be: safe, educational, well-organised, and full of joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bad Kleinkirchheim provided outstanding skiing, and Gasthof Thunderhof offered exceptional hospitality that made our stay truly memorable. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, determination, and teamwork shown by all of our students, and we look forward to returning in the future for another unforgettable experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
