Length two thirds down thigh to the knee (Elasticated mini skirts are not acceptable), see the image below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please note that infringements of the uniform code that cannot be rectified<\/strong> immediately may result in a student being sent home.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n P.E Kit<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t Mandatory kit<\/u><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Optional items of clothing:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Other items:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Teachers will give students details of which sports they are participating in, and give notice as to whether they may require safety equipment (gumshields, shin pads etc.) or specific footwear (e.g. studded boots for rugby or football on grass).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Please note that students will be allowed to wear their PE kit for the full school day, on days when they have PE, so they will not need to change in school.\u00a0 Please be aware however, that whilst Nike Pro Style\/Running Shorts are appropriate in PE they would not be deemed formal around the rest of school. Should students wish to wear these for PE lessons, they must wear leggings\/tracksuit bottoms\/joggers that comply with the above over their shorts around school during the rest of the day.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n Equipment<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t A bag (rucksacks \/ shoulder bags are ideal) that is big enough to fit books, PE kit and the following equipment is essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Every student needs basic equipment every day. They should have a pencil case containing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Optional but useful items for a pencil case would include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n NO TIPPEX OR CORRECTING FLUIDS PLEASE<\/p>\n\n\n\n Specialist Mathematics equipment sets can be purchased from the Mathematics department in school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some subjects, such as Art for example, may have more specialist requirements especially for GCSE students. If this is the case the teachers will communicate that with students directly.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n Jewellery, Fashion and Hair<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t The following is not allowed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Infringements of the above guidelines will result in confiscation and \/or removal. Infringements that cannot be rectified immediately, or repeat infringements, may result in a student being sent home. Any student with doubts about what is and what is not permissible should discuss this with their Year Mentor before making a purchase.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n Mobile Phones and Other Technology<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t Students are allowed to have mobile phones in school, but they should never be used in lessons without the teacher’s permission and should be turned off during lesson times. If parents need to contact their child(ren) during the day they should use the school number 01492 593243.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The school cannot be held responsible for damage or loss to personal items and thus would discourage students from bringing any other equipment (e.g. tablets, iPods) to school. Such items may be confiscated for the safety of the item and students would collect them back at the end of the day.
