In Music, we offer opportunities for students to connect with the world of Music.   Within the music curriculum, learners develop their creative skills, whilst also learning the fundamental basics of the theory.  Students listen, create and have fun! Any student who has previously learnt an instrument, can continue learning with one of our outstanding peripatetic music teachers,  or if they fancy learning a new musical instrument, we can offer many exciting opportunities.  We hope to offer some exciting and enriching music opportunities throughout the academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n

Music is encorporated into project based learning<\/a> for our year 7 students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In years 8 and 9 students study music as part of the Performing Arts<\/a> programme. <\/p>\n\n<\/div>

BTEC Music<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We offer students the option to study a BTEC in Music in years 10 and 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through internal and externally set modules, students will understand the role of music within the world. They will learn about the ever-evolving\u00a0music industry and how to manage a music product (a chart song for example). There will also be ample opportunity to develop\u00a0composition skills, which could be recorded professionally, and develop performance skills.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the course, we hope to offer students direct links to working with musicians and sound technicians, whilst also giving them opportunities for\u00a0regular visits (either live or remotely) to music venues.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n
