During the week beginning 6th July, our talented Year 7 students staged three fantastic performances of Emil and the Detectives. They performed to large audiences of parents, grandparents and fellow students.
Over the last 18 weeks, students have worked tirelessly in their Performing and Visual Arts lessons, designing and creating the set and props, while also rehearsing their performances.
The 50 minute performances took place throughout the week and featured two or three form groups, giving audiences the opportunity to enjoy a full programme of performances. Each form group presented its own interpretation of the play, showcasing creativity, teamwork and growing confidence on stage.
Students demonstrated an impressive commitment to the production, and their hard work over the term was evident in every aspect of the shows, from the acting to the carefully crafted sets and props.
Congratulations to all of the Year 7 students and staff involved in making the production such a memorable success.
