Visiting Conwy Culture Centre

Year 7 and Year 8 have been enjoying trips to their local library and archive at the Conwy Culture Centre.

Year 7 have been able to learn the value of a library card and the access it grants them to books, technology, and digital material. Although many of our students have already been members of the library since they were small, this trip allows everyone to learn more about how the library can help them.

Year 8 got to visit Conwy Archives, and had the rare chance to see the underground archive collection for themselves. They learned about the types of things archives and museums collect, saw some rare artefacts for themselves, and got to see a flash of Ysgol Aberconwy as it used to be. Students were particularly interested in our 2006 prospectus, as there were some familiar faces among the staff!
