More Fantastic Football Success Stories

Our young football stars just keep shooting higher and higher! The Year 7 football team is progressing to the last four of the Welsh Cup, having beaten St Davids, Saltney, four to three.

On Thursday 26th February, the team produced an incredible performance on Airbus FC’s 1st team pitch. Captain Gwilym covered every blade of grass whilst the solid defensive work of Theo, William and Lewis allowed Oliver to terrorise the opposition with his mazy runs!

Bobbi-Jac, Rhys and Isaac worked tirelessly throughout with Isaac earning the crucial 4th goal. The work-rate of our forwards were rewarded with a fine goal from Rio and two sublime finishes from Fraser. Ciaran’s calmness and composure in goal were crucial during the closing stages as the opposition pushed for an equalizer right up to the final whistle.

The best moment of the match was Fraser’s excellent free kick, which settled the nerves and helped us build our commanding lead.

Mr Rhydian Jones would also like to thank the contributions of Ruben, Harry, Cody and Max who continue to push this squad to perform at such high levels.
