Alps A Level Gold Award

Ysgol Aberconwy is delighted to have received the Alps A Level Gold Award for 2025! This means that our A Level successes have put us in the top 25% of schools across the whole of the UK. Students and teachers alike have put their all into getting us here, and we are very pleased to be able to share the glowing results of their work with everyone today.

Alps (A Level Performance System) is a tool which helps schools to analyse their strengths and weaknesses, seeking the best possible experiences for students from Year 12 through Year 13. They take in data and provide information on how well schools and students are doing, helping them to improve or to stay on top. It is fantastic to know that we are doing so well on a national scale.

Pupils choosing to take their A Levels at Ysgol Aberconwy can be safe in the knowledge that we’ll give them the best return on their potential. We send our students on to whichever exciting future opportunities suit them best, with great academic results and a wealth of additional opportunities along the way. Congratulations again to all of last year’s Sixth Formers who did so well, and good luck to our new and returning Sixth Form students this year. We look forward to supporting them to reach their ALPS targets and aspirations beyond!
