Aberconwy School Golf Championship Returns for a Successful Second Year
On Monday 6th July, Ysgol Aberconwy proudly hosted its 2nd Aberconwy School Golf Championship at Penmaenmawr Golf Club, with students enjoying a fantastic day of competitive golf in challenging conditions.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Penmaenmawr Golf Club for hosting this year’s championship, and especially to Jan Williams for her support in making the event possible. Providing our students with access to such a wonderful course is greatly appreciated. Without the continued support of our local community, opportunities like this simply wouldn’t be possible, and we are extremely grateful for the club’s generosity and encouragement.
The course presented a true test for all competitors. Fast greens, firm fairways, and the undulating, hilly layout combined to make scoring difficult. Despite the demanding conditions, all of our golfers performed exceptionally well and demonstrated great resilience, skill, and sportsmanship throughout the day.

Our Stableford Champions were:
- Amy – 31 points
- Jarrod – 43 points
Congratulations to all of our winners and to every student who took part. The standard of golf on display was excellent, and it was fantastic to see so many students representing the school with pride.
The 2nd Aberconwy School Golf Championship was another hugely successful event, and we look forward to seeing it continue to grow and become an even bigger fixture in the school sporting calendar in the years to come.
