Exploring Local Nature

Our Year 7s have been busy enjoying time in the forest school!

They were tasked with finding a range of different raw materials and getting familiar with the natural science of their local forests. Having a feel for how biology and ecology affect the world directly around you is a great basis for building a love of scientific exploration.

After gathering their garden treasures, pupils used the items they’d found to write something. Here are some examples of students who’ve written their names using natural materials.

You can see they’ve enjoyed getting to grips with Conwy’s environment. We suspect there are some future ecologists in the mix!
