Jaxen Earns his First National Cap After Outstanding Season

Huge congratulations to Jaxen in Year 9, who continues to make his mark on the national stage after another impressive performance for the Welsh School FA (WSFA) National Squad.

Jaxen was selected to represent Wales in an away fixture against the England Independent Schools National Team, earning another start in his usual centre-forward position. He put in a strong display and looked sharp throughout, despite a frustrating first half for the Welsh side.

In what proved to be a difficult and unusual 14-minute spell, Wales conceded five goals despite dominating possession and often looking like the stronger team. It was a harsh scoreline that certainly didn’t reflect the balance of play.

For the second half, the coaching staff moved Jaxen into an attacking midfield role — and he made an immediate impact. Thriving in the new position, he delivered a brilliant performance, scoring one goal and providing the assist for Wales’ second as the team fought back strongly after the break.

This performance also confirms a very special milestone for Jaxen: he will officially receive his first National Cap at the WSFA presentation evening in June. It is an incredible achievement considering that the squad is selected from approximately 30,000 eligible players across Wales, placing Jaxen among an elite group of young footballers.

Jaxen finishes the WSFA season as the squad’s top scorer, capping off what has been an unforgettable campaign filled with outstanding memories and well-deserved success. It is a season — and an achievement — that will last a lifetime – well done Jaxen!
