Driving Safety Talk

Year 12 and Year 13 recently attended a talk on the subject of road safety delivered by North Wales Police and Fire And Rescue Service.

This is always an important topic, but was made more emotional and impacting for the sixth formers because of its relatable focus. The assembly centred on the story of seventeen-year-old Olivia, a local Year 13 pupil who died in 2019. She was a passenger in a speeding car and met a tragic fate when the driver started racing a mutual friend. The two school friends who were responsible for the crash were put in prison.

The Police and Fire Service hoped to raise awareness and instil the importance of driving safety for young people. Recklessness is not worth the risk.
